The September Pledge Drive is going on right now! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Annually, the Friends of Playa Booster Club fundraising goal is $175,000, and we usually raise half that, with our Pledge Drive. Playa del Rey Elementary is one of the smallest LAUSD elementary schools in Los Angeles. With 277 students, we must fundraise for all enrichment activities including Music, Drama, Garden Education and Nutrition, PE, Science, and more. We need your help to support our students' extended learning opportunities. In that spirit, our school self-funds these co-curricular programs by fundraising throughout the year.
We typically ask all families to contribute during Pledge Drive and although the suggested donation amount is $800 per family, as always, ANY amount is impactful and greatly appreciated. No amount is too big or too small. Our goal is for 100% of our families to participate.

- Weekly Sur-'PRIZE' Participation Raffles: All families (at any donation amount) are entered into our weekly surprise raffles. Families who donate will be entered into our Weekly Sur-PRIZE Participation Raffle beginning the week they donate. Prizes will be announced in the FOP Dolphin Digest Newsletter. Winners will be announced at the end of each week. Families who are not chosen to win will be automatically re-entered into the following week's raffles until the end of Pledge Drive.

- Families who donate $1-799 enter into the Priority Seating Raffle (2 front row seats at their choice of either culmination, the winter or spring performance) in addition to the Weekly Sur-PRIZE Participation Raffle of the week you donate.
- Families who donate $800will meet the suggested direct donation, qualify for 2 entries into the Priority Seating Raffle, and enter into the Weekly Sur-PRIZE Participation Raffle of the week you donate.
- Families who donate $1,000 or more will qualify for 3 entries into the Priority Seating Raffle, enter into the Weekly Sur-PRIZE Participation Raffle of the week you donate, and will also receive a customized family banner (once payment is received in full) to be displayed along the outer fence of the school grounds! - Additionally, classrooms whose participation reaches 75% or more will receive a classroom party!
